Stonefield And Owl Eyes Announce Co-Headlining National Tour, August 2012

Written by Marc Zanotti on June 26, 2012

To help bring awareness to the Australian Government initiative The Line, which promotes respect among the youth of Australia and speaks out against issues such as sexting, cyber-bullying and inappropriate physical behaviour, Melbourne artists Stonefield and Owl Eyes have teamed up for a co-headlining national tour dubbed Winter Road Trip 2012.

When speaking about The Line, both Brooke Addamo (Owl Eyes) and Amy Findlay (Stonefield) highlighted the importance of youth treating eachother with respect and the role in which music can play to being awareness to the aforementioned issues.

“It’s just a great campaign because it’s not preaching anything, it’s just sharing a message of respect, and we can do it through music”, said Brooke Addamo.

“It’s great to use music to help convey a message – especially a message about respect and just making people aware of it. One of the things I love about music is that you can help people and teach people about things”, said Amy Findlay.

The Winter Road Trip is the first time the five young women, with an average age of less than 19 years, will be hitting the road together, with both bands representing the Wunderkind label. This promises to be a truly positive experience coupled with great tunes. Be sure to get your ticket asap.
