Sydney Uni Performs Game Of Thrones Theme Via Bell Tower

Written by Mike Hohnen on April 29, 2013

Sydney University has increased its viral relevance ten-fold these past few days. Last Friday, a video arrived on Youtube documenting the moment the university’s resident carillonneurs (or, one who rings bells) injected a healthy dose of pop-culture into their routine, busting out the full Game Of Thrones them song for all to hear.

As you can see in the first video below, it couldn’t have been a more perfect day for this to go down, not a cloud in the sky. If only there were more people sitting around the quad, as the few that are there already seem somewhat disinterested or perhaps unaware of what’s happening.

The video below that shows Isaac Wong performing the song on the Sydney University Carillon. You’ll notice Wong has far more grace and style than your average hunchback, and has previously demonstrated his mad skills with other cohorts when they used the same instrument to perform Hallelujah and the Super Mario Bros theme.
