The Game Australian Tour Dates Rescheduled Following 11th Hour Chaos

UPDATE: Tour dates have been rescheduled yet again – full details here.

Literally hours before his Jesus Piece Australian Tour is set to kick off, US rapper The Game has threatened to cancel the whole thing, retracting the cancellation at the last minute, rescheduled two dates and launched a scathing review of his Australian promoter, slamming their “extreme unprofessionalism”.

Overnight, the rapper’s management informed ticketholders via Facebook that the tour would no longer be happening, adding that promoters Hip Hop TV failed to live up to their contractual obligations despite the best attempts from management to move forward:

“The promoter Hip Hop TV, has failed numerous times to deliver on simple contractual points including paying the artist his fees…

“Game’s Management have gone above and beyond to give the promoter many chances to fulfil his obligations, and adjusted Game’s schedule to try to make this tour happen, but Hip Hop TV have still failed to deliver. The promoter has shown extreme unprofessionalism towards Management, and made many false promises he has not delivered on.”

Early this morning, Hip Hop TV explained that after some back and forth, both parties have come to an agreement on the new dates, and the Facebook post on The Game’s page has since been deleted.

Music Feeds has spoken to promoter Fady Atalla, who explained that the drama stemmed from a delayed final payment, though the dust has settled and everyone involved is looking forward to a hell of a tour. Atalla left us with the following statement:

“This was just a misunderstanding, we apologise for causing any alarm. We love The Game, the last thing we would want is a bad relationship with his management. Also respect for Dontay “Taydoe” Kidd his manager for being patient with us as well.”

You can check out the rescheduled tour dates below and the previous statement from The Game’s camp below that.
