It has now been confirmed that as The Annandale Hotel lives on so too shall the Rule dynasty, with the venue’s new owners Oscars hanging onto brothers Matt and Dan, who will continue handling live music bookings under the name of their company Music, Booze & Stuff.
Music, Booze & Stuff, which also books nearby venues The Vic in Marrickville and Newtown’s Marly Bar, are sure to maintain a similar level of quality and quantity with Oscar’s Group General Manager Damien Cameron expressing an eagerness to continue live music at the pub, that is at least until the end of the year. The brothers are hoping to grow the business, telling TheMusic.com.au, “Hopefully we can work with a few venues and develop some strategies.”
This decision seems to be the only thing that’s made proper sense since the drama began last year. Despite remaining resilient in the uphill battle against both residents and the Liquor board, the Rule brothers eventually handed the keys over to Oscars at the start of this year.
Despite failing to deliver results with the ‘Dale, Leichhardt Mayor Darcy Byrne is positive that the Parramatta Road Live Music Precinct will be fully operational by the end of 2013.
