These Artists May Have Just Been Ruled Out Of Splendour In The Grass 2017

UPDATE 24/03/17: Here’s when the 2017 Splendour In The Grass lineup is being announced.

ORIGINAL STORY: A bunch of artists who we thought we might see on this year’s Splendour In The Grass lineup appear to have been ruled out of the festival, after a major US fest dropped a huge lineup of acts who are destined to perform in Los Angeles on the same weekend as Splendour.

LA’s FYF Festival announced its massive 2017 lineup today, led by the likes of Björk, Frank Ocean, Nine Inch Nails and Missy Elliott.

The festival is set to go down from Friday, 21st July to Sunday, 23rd July, which are the exact same dates as Splendour 2017.

Unfortunately, this means we probably won’t see many (if any) of its artists at Splendour, including the likes of Solange, Run The Jewels, Flying Lotus, A Tribe Called Quest, Erykah Badu, Anderson .Paak, MGMT and Little Dragon.

So yeah, compose yourself before you peep the full FYF Festival lineup down below.

A bunch of other big-name acts like The Weeknd, Lana Del Rey and Red Hot Chili Peppers were already ruled out of this year’s Splendour In The Grass lineup, but last month’s announcement of Japan’s Fuji Rock lineup was our first big hint at the acts who might still rock up for Splendour.

Last year’s Splendour lineup featured the likes of The Strokes, The Cure, The Avalanches, Flume, Violent Soho, Hermitude, Band of Horses and heaps more.
