Thom Yorke has confirmed new song Identikit is 1 of 2 songs that Radiohead currently has in the works. The news comes from this morning’s Reddit AMA featuring Yorke and Atoms For Peace collaborator and Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich, after a fan asked about Radiohead recording at Jack White’s Third Man studio last year.
The fan inquired as to when Radiohead will release a single, to which Yorke replied there were in fact 2 songs recorded at Third Man, before identifying one as Identikit:
“We was at AJck Jack Whites places… we now have two unfinished tracks, one of which is identikit. Its nice there, red and black and white nshit. err, we work slower than him (umderstatement)\”
Classic Thom. Although Yorke describes Identikit as unfinished, that didn’t keep Radiohead from debuting the track live in February of last year, alongside other previously unheard track Cut A Hole.
A recent article by Mail & Guardian on Radiohead bassist Colin Greenwood stated that the band will begin work on a new album in September.
