Ty Segall Meredith 2014 Sideshows Announced

Ty Segall has announced he will undertake his biggest Australian tour to date this December, while in the country as part of Meredith Music Festival 2014. The headline tour will see the Californian singer-songwriter making stops in Perth, Sydney, Melbourne, Byron Bay, and Brisbane.

The prolific multi-instrumentalist will be touring in support of his highly anticipated new double album, Manipulator, which is slated for release this Friday, 22nd August. The record’s seventeen tracks see Segall pitting his notorious straight-to-tape ethos against a full-fledged recording studio.

Segall toiled over the new record for close to a year, crafting an album that will further cement his legacy as one of the modern era’s most intriguing songwriters. A legacy that “California’s guitar laureate” has painstakingly built over eight albums and countless acclaimed live shows.

First travelling to Australia in 2011, this outing will see Segall joined by a full-band lineup consisting of bass player Mikal Cronin, guitarist Charlie Moothart, and drummer Emily Epstein. Readers can check all dates and ticketing details below. Special guests will be announced shortly.

UPDATE 16/09/14: Ty Segall has announced extra dates for Melbourne and Sydney, with previously announced shows in both cities now sold out. See updated tour dates below.
