Architects will be heading down under for an exclusive Aussie performance at the Victorian metal, punk and hardcore bash, while other international acts like Four Year Strong (performing their album Rise Or Die Trying) and Stick To Your Guns are also on the lineup.
On the local front, UNIFY 2018 is packing the likes of Tonight Alive, Hands Like Houses, Behind Crimson Eyes, 50 Lions and With Confidence. Previously teased act Hellions have also made the cut, joining the first act that was confirmed for the festival, Polaris.
Unfortunately for System Of A Down fans, it seems that fake ‘leaked’ lineup poster was indeed total BS.
As previously confirmed by UNIFY head honcho Luke Logemann, this year’s festival contains five acts with females members, out of the 29 acts on the lineup, including Tonight Alive, The Beautiful Monument and Make Them Suffer.
Earlier this week in a lengthy statement about gender diversity, Logemann said, “We made sure there was no shred of tokenism, and that we were booking every artist for the right reason. But we also made an effort to try and move this lineup in the right direction.”
UNIFY Gathering 2018 will go down at its ancestral home of Tarwin Meadows in South Gippsland between Friday, 12th and Sunday, 14th January, and tickets will go on sale later today.
