With the tragic news emerging last week that The Jezabels would have to cancel their Mountain Sounds Festival appearance while keyboardist Heather Shannon undergoes emergency Ovarian cancer treatment, Violent Soho have just been announced as their replacement.
With their blistering 2015 single Like Soda having just come in at No. 15 in yesterday’s triple j Hottest 100, the band are excited to join the festival and perform for their fans on the Central Coast.
Planning another single release soon, with another album reportedly already in the works, the hard rocking locals will be joining the likes of Albert Hammond Jr, Art vs Science and more.
Yet as the shadow of Ovarian Cancer hangs over the festival, organisers will be taking donations from attendees with all proceeds gong to Ovarian Cancer Australia to help raise funds for awareness and research. Violent Soho are also doing their bit, donating all proceeds from merch sales on the day as well.
While first round tickets are sold out, the second release are still on sale with full festival details below.
