Alternative legend Beck featured a rather interesting mashup during his set at the Days Off Festival in Paris. After performing classics from albums like Mellow Gold and Mutations, the 42-year-old singer-songwriter took on two classics by the King of Pop and the King of Glam for his encore.
Over the classic Billie Jean bass line, Beck moved from attempting the original lyrics to playing the iconic riff from Get It On and singing his own 1997 single Sissyneck to the rousing chorus of the ’71 glam rock classic before going back to MJ.
Earlier this week, Beck took to the stage in London with Pulp’s Jarvis Cocker, Franz Ferdinand, Beth Orton, Charlotte Gainsbourg and The Mighty Boosh to perform his recent experimental ‘sheet music’ album Song Reader in full for the first time.
