Watch: Wavves Launch ‘Afraid Of Heights’ With Cross-Dressing Serial Killer Clip

Written by Kiel Egging on March 27, 2013

American noisy surf rockers Waaves have unveiled the fairly messed-up video for the title track and third single from their brand-new album, Afraid Of Heights.

The video follows two cross-dressing killers as they glam up for a night on the town, smash some Jäger bombs with two dopey lads at a bar, then take them hostage, where one of them meets a pretty unsavoury fate. Check it out for yourself at the bottom of the page.

The video was directed by BLACK // DOCTOR – who have previously been in the hot seat putting together the clips for the previous two Wavves songs Sail To The Sun and Demon To Lean On.

The album, which came out in the States earlier this week, was made available for streaming by the band last week and our initial impressions were highly favourable, our editor noting that the album had “less of a thrashy, in-your-face vibe than previous releases” and instead the band had opted “for a more chilled-out tempo and a definite Weezeresque sound while still retaining their good-time Californian summer vibe.”
