UPDATE 06/10/16: Tickets to FOTSUN 2016 have officially sold out. This year marked the fastest sell-out in the festival’s 12-year history.
UPDATE 15/08/2016: Organisers have revealed the full lineup and ticketing information for Festival Of The Sun 2016.
ORIGINAL STORY: Port Macquarie’s Festival Of The Sun is returning for its twelfth tilt in 2016 and we officially have a pair of dates to pencil into our day planners.
The two-day boutique event will take place over December 9th & 10th this year, meaning it’s totally OK to ask your parents/significant other for tickets as an early Christmas present.
Once again, the FOTSUN festivities will be prefaced by the annual Wabi Sabi arts festival, kicking off on Thursday, 8th December, before launching into two packed days of live music across the Friday and Saturday.
As per usual, various types of camping tickets will be available, including VIP cabins and cottages. And while the festival remains an 18+ BYO event, children under 10 can get free entry when they’re with an adult.
The 2016 lineup is expected to drop in a few months, with tickets going on sale September 1st.
Last year’s epic bill featured the likes of Illy, Jebediah, Thundamentals, British India, The Delta Riggs, Alpine and loads more, and with this year’s first lineup announcement due to drop in August, we’re excited to see if they can outdo themselves.
