It’s been a while since Icelandic strange-rockers Sigur Ros were in the spotlight, what with frontman Jonsi indulging in a solo career and picking up awards. So it is a welcome boon for their fans that, as Consequence of Sound reports, the band have released a bunch of live tracks, demos and ‘reversed works’ via SoundCloud.
Sigur Ros haven’t put out an album since 2008’s Með suð í eyrum við spilum endalaust, but fans can be sated by the fact 10 tracks appeared online on Monday (April 4), including a sped-up version of Avalon, two live cuts from a 1998 tour, two reversed tracks and a couple of demos from the 1999 Ágætis byrjun sessions. The whole thing is around 37 minutes long.
