Outgoing triple j brekky hosts Matt and Alex are one down and four to go with their Five Raves In Five Days goodbye lap, with the first bash going down in Perth last night.
Drapht, Mosquito Coast, San Cisco and Tired Lion all hit the decks as part of the fare-thee-well festivities, cranking the good time tunes — and tunas, it would seem.
“When Drapht drops tunas… so do we. Massive blow up tunas,” fellow J-man Kyran Wheatley posted on Instagram, alongside an epic vid of the lit mob crowd-surfing a school of giant inflatable tunas above their heads.
No doubt nursing a sore head when fronting up for the brekky slot this morning — after popping a shoey of red wine live on stage last night — Alex “Slave To Rave” Dyson quipped that the Perth crowd had been “jumping like wallabies”.
While Matt Okine revealed that, despite the fact that Alex had programmed an entire DJ set, he was so busy raving up a storm that he “hardly touched a knob”.
Now, we know what else you’re thinking and the answer is yes: Darude’s Sandstorm happened and it went off.

Meanwhile, Matt & Alex’s rave train is set to pull into Adelaide tonight for round two. Catch all the details here.
