The Shins‘ first album in four years Heartworms will be out in just under a week but they’ve dropped another taster.
The James Mercer-led band have already given us three songs from the record with Painting A Whole the fourth to be pulled from it.
The track is the most dizzying yet, with a hypnotic, lo-fi feel to it. It’s also one of the more danceable cuts the band have offered up.
“I was trying to express some sort of anger about the world [on the last record]. On this record, I think it’s a bit more positive, a bit more fun. I’m writing less about real issues,” Mercer told Music Feeds about the new album.
Heartworms is the first Shins record since Port Of Morrow. It’s will be released Friday, 10th March.
