Frances Bean Cobain Debuts First Original Song On Anniversary Of Her Dad’s Death

Frances Bean Cobain has given us a snippet of her first original song on the 24th anniversary of the death of her father, Nirvana’s Kurt Cobain.

The snippet, while only brief, is still jam packed with raw emotion and feeling as Cobain sings a capella.

Some lyrics include, “I think I saw you when I was small / I think I found you, a penny for your good thoughts.”

Cobain posted the video on Instagram — and has since deleted it — with a caption which supposedly read, “There are so many memeable moments in this clip…I’m SUPER restless because i can’t play guitar with long nails so I’m just sitting in my room alone singin to mah self.”

Cobain’s first foray into music came in 2016 when she covered Jimmy Eat World’s ‘The Middle’. Shortly after that, she compiled a mixtape which she then posted to Twitter.
