The Perth psych rock lords were making their debut as musical guests on New York’s iconic Saturday Night Live, and used the occasion to perform their recently-unveiled first new piece of music in four years, ‘Patience’.
But that’s not all — they also slapped us about the ears with a brand new tune, which the internet is affectionately calling ‘Borderline’.
The groovy, toe-tapping lounge chiller will likely feature on Kevin Parker & co’s upcoming fourth album, the follow-up to 2015’s universally-frothed Currents.
Tame Impala have also just been announced as headliners at just about every major festival across the world – Coachella, Glastonbury, Lollapalooza, Primavera Sound etc — and FYI there’s currently a Splendour In The Grass-sized hole in their July touring schedule, so Aussie fans will undoubtedly be keeping all of their digits crossed when the #SITG2019 lineup drops this Wednesday.
