Here’s Travis Barker Laying Down A Drum Track For Blink-182’s New Album

Blink-182‘s new album is coming in hot, with beat warrior Travis Barker recently confirming that the “experimental” new record would be hitting our eardrums before June.

Now, to keep amping up the hype, team Blink have shared a new clip from the studio featuring ya boi Travis laying down some spicy beats on one of the band’s fresh tracks.

Taking to Instagram, Mark Hoppus uploaded the snippet alongside the caption “blink-182 studio life” (check it out below).

Late last month, the bassist spilled to NME that the band’s “different” LP will be “a lot more aggressive” and “darker” than their previous work.

“[We’re] trying to experiment more, trying different sounds, and trying to expand upon what people think Blink-182 is,” he said.

Speaking about the sound of the record in a separate interview, Travis reflected his bandmates’ sentiments, adding that “Literally anything goes”.

“I think we’re creating one of the most important Blink albums, so I’m really proud of it,” he said.

Needless to say, our ears are ready.

While you wait, Blink-182 fans in Melbourne are due to be treated to a night of Blink bangers performed live by a pop-punk supergroup made up of members from Short Stack, Hellions and Heroes For Hire later this month.
