BB Sabina is an Alice Springs-based songwriter who creates textural, guitar-driven songs that are at once crushingly intense and devastatingly sincere. On lead single ‘Feast’, the musician controls and commands a warm sonic palette into a dynamic, rollicking track anchored by her full-throated vocals.
Drawing on influences such as PJ Harvey and Melody’s Echo Chamber, BB Sabina’s debut, self-titled EP is a rich and emotional journey, born from one of the country’s most isolated areas. She collaborated with ARIA-nominated artist Evelyn Ida Morris (aka Pikelet) on the mixing as part of a remote songwriting exchange, and the EP was produced by fellow Alice Springs ambient artist Dave Crowe (Resin Moon).
“The EP reflects on the creative process; inspiration, struggle and release,” says Sabina about the release.“From the cathartic release I’ve experienced when songwriting, to the struggle that is involved in putting your art out there. And finally, the transcendent feeling that you can get when it all comes together, when the music hits you and you feel completely captivated for a moment.”
