SURPRISE: Foo Fighters Drop New EP ‘01070725’

Out of nowhere, Foo Fighters have gone and dropped a surprise EP, titled 01070725, full of rarities and even a sneaky cover of an Arcade Fire classic.

The EP features three rare B-sides and demos, including a bonus track ‘Seda’, as well as a live cover of Arcade Fire’s 2007 single ‘Keep The Car Running’.

On top of that, there’s also a live cover of the Dead Kennedy’s ‘Holiday In Cambodia’ which they performed at the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards alongside System Of A Down’s Serj Tankian.

The EP comes as a part of the vault series the band have been doing, celebrating previous releases in the lead up to their eponymous debut album’s 25th anniversary, which is happening next year.

In other Foo Fighters/cover related news, Weezer recently covered Nirvana’s ‘Lithium’ at Rock In Rio festival and it brought Dave Grohl to tears.
