Cub Sport & Darren Hayes Team Up For New Single ‘I’ve Never Cried So Much In My Whole Life’

Cub Sport have kept the momentum going over the past few years with each album being more successful than the one that came before it, and now they’re keeping it up with new single ‘I’ve Never Cried So Much In My Whole Life’ which features none other than Darren Hayes.

Frontman Tim Nelson detailed about the moment that birthed the concept for the song, and it’ll tug at your heartstrings – we’ll give you that for free.

“‘I Never Cried So Much In My Whole Life’ is a song about happy crying,” Nelson said.

“I remember being at home and looking over at Bolan” (Cub Sport keyboardist and Nelson’s husband) “Miss and Eve” – (their two cute doggos) – “on the couch – they all looked so beautiful and happy and I was filled with so much gratitude and happiness and pride for how far we’d come and how many obstacles we’d overcome to get to that point.”

Nelson reached out to Hayes to feature on the track, and within three days Hayes had sent back his vocals.

“A few weeks ago, I got a text from Tim asking if I wanted to be involved in ‘I never cried so much in my whole life’,” Hayes said in a statement.

“I listened to the song, and literally burst into tears of joy.  I responded immediately saying yes. Tim was so generous, he offered me the opportunity to contribute in whatever way I wanted – whether that meant writing my own verse or doing a different take on it.”

Listen to the bloody beautiful song below.
