Western Sydney Drill Collective OneFour Have Announced Their First National Headline Tour

UPDATE 28/11/19: OneFour Have Now Been Forced To Cancel Their Sydney Show Next Month

One of the country’s most exciting names in rap, Western Sydney’s OneFour have announced they’ll be taking to the road for their debut national headline tour throughout November and December.

Hailing from Mt. Druitt, the collective’s string of viral singles and videos such as ‘The Message’ and ‘Spot the Difference’ have seen them bring their stories – typically of adversity and conflict – to the world at large over the past couple of years. With crisp production and impassioned lyrics taken directly from their lives, it’s not hard to see why they’ve garnered praise.

It’s particularly exciting to see the outfit announce tour plans considering that despite their success – latest single ‘Ladz in the Hood’ racked up 400,000 views in the space of 24 hours and is currently sitting at just under 2.5 million – censorship and harassment from authorities have followed the band.

It’s an experience not dissimilar to that of their drill rap counterparts in the UK and US, with authorities accusing the act of promoting violence and crime with their music. A few months ago, the collective were scheduled to perform with London rapper Octavian in Sydney, but the show was allegedly shut down after pressure from New South Wales police.

Now, it seems as though OneFour can finally bring their live act to fans unimpeded, with dates in Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth and Sydney all confirmed for ‘The Beginning’ tour.
