Sydney producer and singer/songwriter SA.MAY has released her first single of 2020, titled ‘Easier’, and it’s a pulsing and brooding anthem about freeing yourself from what holds you back.
Especially pressing now for SA.MAY to release a song about the dangers of monotony, she melts her delicate, airy voice with both gentle plucks and thumping production for a listen that’ll have you hooked until the very end.
“‘Easier’ is about a time in my life where I felt I was living every day in repeat, working in a job I hated stuck in a loop and it wasn’t until I quit my job that I felt free and everything felt easier,” SA.MAY said in a press statement.
“The process behind making (the song) started with a guitar loop, I came up with the first verse and chorus vocals recorded in my bedroom and added in a drum beat behind.”
“With everything that is going on, I wanted to get the message out there that it does get easier.”
