PREMIERE: Sydney Pop Artist Csöke Explores New Love In ‘I Think I’m Falling’

Sydney performer Csöke – pronounced “Shock” – is back with her first single of 2021. ‘I Think I’m Falling’ is officially out tomorrow, 18th November. We’re premiering the music video on Music Feeds.

Following on from last year’s six-song F.W.M. EP, ‘I Think I’m Falling’ is a song about the feeling that comes when one first realises they’re falling in love. “[It’s about] that first hit of emotion you feel, the ‘Oh shit,’ and the struggle I felt in my own experience of falling in love and pushing down my walls and allowing myself to feel things,” Csöke said.

The song draws influence from many of Csöke’s favourite pop artists, including the likes of SZA, Tove Lo and Dua Lipa. Meanwhile, Csöke wanted the music video to convey the feeling of elation that accompanies new love. The team of Stephanie Jewell and Vendulka Witchka directed the video, with editing provided by Robert Bremmer.

“For the video, I ran down Chinatown, which ended up being an amazing experience,” said Csöke. “I did a few takes till a group of ladies came up all dressed in red for Chinese New Year and Ven walked right up and asked them to be in the video, to which [they said] they were happy to.

“It ended up being so beautiful with them waving their red scarves and lanterns. They honestly stole the show. The whole experience felt like a movie scene.”
