Brisbane royalty, The Veronicas have blessed us with a new single today. It’s called ‘Biting My Tongue’ and in ~Veronicas~ fashion, it’s another absolute banger.
‘Biting My Tongue’ is the first single from twins, Jess and Lisa Origliasso since ‘Think Of Me’ and ‘Ugly’ last year. It follows the announcement earlier this week of their forthcoming fourth studio album, Human. We don’t have a release date just yet, though it should arrive sometime this year.
As well as the single, we have a trailer for ‘Biting My Tongue’s film clip, which was directed by The Veronicas themselves. Catch it down below, along with the single.
On the new single, The Veronicas say it’s about saying everything you’ve been holding back. “When desire sits on the tip of your tongue, and you don’t know if you should share your feelings and risk it all, or hold it in and risk never knowing.
“We’ve both taken risks in love. We are naturally curious people. I think we would always feel it was a tragedy to love someone and to allow fear of their reaction stop us from knowing if they might feel the same.
“So writing this was like a confession pouring out. Most people have that one moment that they either took the risk, or lost the chance… either way, everyone is changed by that moment.”
The Veronicas will be performing a drive-in concert at Sydney waterslide park, Raging Waters next month. It’s set to take place on Friday, 17th July – head here for the deets.
