ABC’s New Music Show ‘The Sound’ Unveils Crammed Episode 2 Lineup

ICYMI: Aussie music is back on our free-to-air TV screens thanks to The Sound, ABC‘s fresh weekly, hour-long series that puts the nation’s most exciting artists through exclusive, pre-recorded live performances, collabs and interviews.

After coming off a nationally raved-about maiden ep, the show has now lifted the lid on what’s in store for its second instalment and, people, it is CRAMMED.

We’re talking a double dose of Paul — AKA Kelly and Grabowsky — performing together at Melbourne’s iconic Hamer Hall ahead of releasing their collaborative album, Please Leave Your Light On on July 31st, Grammy nominees and all-round VIC legends The Teskey Brothers, Julia Stone making her eagerly anticipated solo return, Australian Crawl legend James Reyne who just dropped his first album in eight years, plus Brisbane pop powerhouse Cub Sport, Perth’s San Cisco, Brisbane’s Eves Karydas and rising star SYCCO as this week’s ‘Introducing’ feature artist.

“It’s great to have our music back on free to air TV. All power to The Sound,” says Paul Kelly. “Long may it run.”

You can catch The Sound airing on the ABC this Sunday, 26th July at 5.30pm, with an encore on Saturday, 2nd August at 12.30pm.
