Violent Soho Take A Road Trip In New Video For ‘Slow Down Sonic’

Violent Soho have shared a new video to accompany ‘Slow Down Sonic’, taken from latest album Everything Is A-OK. The Dan Graetz-directed clip sees the Brisbane grunge rockers take a road trip deep in South West Queensland, driving through a wide open country landscape before performing at a small rural pub.

“We wanted the video for ‘Slow Down Sonic’ to illustrate the feel and mood of the song and how we connect with specifically Australian spaces and the daily lived experience,” explains the band.

Violent Soho released Everything Is A-OK back in April, debuting at the top slot on the ARIA Albums Chart and earning the band their second #1 album in a row.

In our interview with band’s James Tidswell in April, the guitarist talked about making the album first and foremost for the band themselves.

“With this one, we’ve made it for ourselves and focussed on making it truly a band record. We’d like to think that you can hear the growth of the musicianship and the songwriting,” he said.

“We just wanted to make it clear that we went all-in on ourselves with no compromise, and made a record that we can all be proud of.”
