American singer-songwriter Justin Timberlake with hits such as “SexyBack” and “Cry Me A River” was arrested at Sag Harbor, New York. The singer was spotted by police on Tuesday during the early hours. He had to spend the night in jail before being released due to DWI charges (Driving While Intoxicated).
The prosecutor’s office in Suffolk County followed in a statement “On June 18, 2024, Justin Timberlake was arrested in Sag Harbor for Driving While Intoxicated. He was arraigned in Sag Harbor Village Justice Court and released on his own recognizance. His next court date is a virtual appearance in Sag Harbor Village Justice Court scheduled for July 26, 2024. At this time, we have no further comment.”
Justin Timberlake Was Released Next Morning Without A Bail By Sag Harbour Village Justice Court
The police caught Justin Timberlake as he was seen driving his BMW a little after midnight through a stop sign and he was not able to drive the car on the right side of the road. So the officer had to pull him over and do the needful.
The officer said the following to the media “Upon investigation, it was determined that Mr Timberlake was operating his vehicle in an intoxicated condition.”
“Timberlake’s eyes were “bloodshot and glassy,” and he “performed poorly on all standard field sobriety tests,” the CBS report stated.
Justin Timberlake repeatedly told the police that he had ‘just one martini’ and that he was following a friend. The singer had to spend the night at the jail, and he was later released without bail by Sag Harbour Village Justice Court and now his next court hearing will be scheduled on June 26th.
He is the father of two sons and is married to actress Jessica Biel and owns 10 Grammy Awards and 4 Emmy Awards.
