Would-be Splendour In The Grass act TV Girl has unveiled the support act who will be joining them for their upcoming debut Australian headline tour this July.
Naarm/Melbourne electronic art-pop band Surfing have been tapped to warm up the stage for TV Girl at their headline dates in Sydney and Melbourne next month (they will not, however, be appearing at the band’s Brisbane co-headline date with The Last Dinner Party).
Surfing – ‘Hearts‘
Upon going on sale to the general public, all TV Girl’s shows sold out within minutes, prompting venue upgrades and an extra Sydney show to be added on Wednesday, 17th July. All shows are now sold out, bar that extra Sydney date.
Formed in the early 2010’s, Surfing is an Australian duo celebrated for their unique blend of electronic and dream-pop music. The band, consisting of Leroy Honeycomb and Penny Van Hazelberg, nabbed widespread attention with their debut album, Deep Fantasy.
Surfing’s music frequently evokes a dreamy, retro-futuristic vibe, influenced by 1980’s pop culture and cinema.
