Life, uh… finds a way – and in this case, that way is Jeff Goldblum touring Australia with a jazz orchestra. Yep, that Jeff Goldblum. Star of Wicked. the greatest chaos theorist ever to be portrayed on screen. Human fly. Shirt-unbuttoning icon. Certified dino daddy.

The Hollywood legend has announced Australian dates for The Night Blooms World Tour, bringing his long-running jazz project The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra to our shores in April and May, including a one-night-only moonlight serenade at the iconic Sydney Opera House. And before you ask – nope, this isn’t a novelty side quest. Jeff has been doing this thing for years.

If you’ve only ever known Goldblum as the man who survived rampaging genetically-engineered dinosaurs in Jurassic Park, turned body horror into art in The Fly, or recently popped up as The Wizard in Wicked, consider this your reminder that the man has also been quietly hammering the ivories for three decades. Jazz piano is his long game – not a midlife crisis.

The tour is set to celebrate Goldblum’s forthcoming album Night Blooms, due out June 5 via Universal’s relaunched Fontana label. It follows 2025’s Still Blooming, which went absolutely bananas on the charts – debuting at #1 on the UK Jazz & Blues Albums Chart and cracking the UK Top 10 overall (not bad for a bloke best known for saying things like “that is one big pile of shit” to a triceratops).

Onstage, fans can expect a mix of classic jazz standards, cuts from the new record, playful banter (because obviously), and that unmistakable Goldblum energy – loose, charming, slightly unhinged, and deeply self-aware. He even lends his vocals to a few tracks to boot.

The Aussie run also includes a very fancy cherry on top: a one-night-only performance at the Sydney Opera House, where Goldblum and his orchestra will be joined by The Metropolitan Orchestra, conducted by Sarah-Grace Williams. Chaos theory, but make it orchestral.
