Saviour Announce Split

Perth metalcore outfit Saviour, who back in November were announced as part of the lineup for the 2014 Push Over festival, have officially announced their breakup via their official Facebook page, telling fans that they are “calling it a day” but offering no apparent reason for the sudden split.

“It’s with great difficulty that we announce Saviour will be calling it a day,” the band begins. “This band has been huge part of us since 2009 and it is going to be the hardest thing letting it go,” they add, before offering thanks to “everyone who helped us along the way.”

The band assure fans that they will still make their scheduled appearances at Push Over 2014 and at Tasmania’s Breath of Life Festival, in addition to “some TBA Perth dates,” urging fans to “come down to one of those shows if you live near to see us doing the Saviour thing one last time!”

The band conclude the short missive by offering an apology to “everyone we have let down” and reiterating their thanks, as distraught fans continue to flood their page with comments. The band had previously stated on their Facebook page that there would be a “Massive announcement tonight!”

Saviour Facebook Message

Hey everyone…

It’s with great difficulty that we announce Saviour will be calling it a day.

This band has been huge part of us since 2009 and it is going to be the hardest thing letting it go.

A big thank you to everyone who helped us along the way, ex-members Tom Petrou and Toby Savin, Matt Leost and the team at Artery management, UNFD, all the bands and promoters we have met along the way, and of course all the people that have supported us by coming to shows, buying our shit or just sharing the love!

We will still be playing Breath of Life Festival (TAS) and Pushover Festival (VIC) in March as well as some TBA Perth dates so come down to one of those shows if you live near to see us doing the Saviour thing one last time!

Sorry to everyone we have let down.

But thank you so much for your support.

Love from the Saviour dudes
