ORIGINAL STORY: HELLO Adelaide and Brisbane!
Prepare yourselves, because it looks like South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone’s hilarious musical The Book Of Mormon is set to make its way to Queensland and South Australia, following successful runs in both Melbourne and Sydney.
Advertisements for The Book Of Mormon have begun popping up in Adelaide and Brisbane, proclaiming “the Mormons are coming!”, and that’s exactly how organisers teased previous Aussie editions of the production.
It’s not yet known when the musical will arrive in the two cities, but organisers have told fans on social media (below) that “Good things come to those who waitlist”.
The Book Of Mormon first debuted on Broadway back in 2011, and made its Australian debut in Melbourne in 2017, before making its way to Sydney.
The satirical musical, which tells the story of two Mormon missionaries who are forced to travel to Uganada on a mission, won the Best Musical and Best Direction of a Musical awards at Australia’s 2017 Helpmann Awards.
