The 411:

Byron Bay-based indie-rock quartet and 2018 triple J Unearthed Splendour In The Grass local competition winners Seaside have just unveiled their dreamy and dark new single ‘Shame’ – produced by the band themselves and mixed by Paul Pilsneniks (The Mars Volta, Boy & Bear, Silverchair).

Speaking about the motivation behind the track, frontwoman Darcy Dexter explains: “’Shame’ is about the people in power not listening to what we really need as a society, turning a blind eye when we need them most. It is a message that if we stand together, we are able to create a positive change”.

Live Dates:

We’re sure once this pandemic passes, we’ll get some!

Our Review:

Dark and stormy like the highball rum cocktail and every bit as intoxicating, Seaside’s new one will transfix you with a heady dose of hypnotic rhythms, dreamy harmonies and bewitching, shoegazey atmospherics.
