The 411:

Black Rabbit George is a new incarnation for Tijuana Cartel’s guitarist/singer/songwriter Paul George, which sees him further explore the acoustic guitar at the heart of Tijuana Cartel and pursue his long-time interest in folk and roots music.

Following on from the release of his critically praised single ‘Fingers Radio’, the Gold Coast-based artist has just returned with his sophomore album Warren – produced and recorded by the artist himself at his home studio.

“I’ve had so many re-inventions as a musician, I needed to find a common thread” The Black Rabbit explains. “I spent a lot of time isolated at home toying with ideas I’ve had over the years. I pretty much lived in the studio for the last six months just re-learning where I can take things and how they all make sense together.”

You can stream Warren in full here.

Live Dates:

Pending the end of the global pandemic.

Our Review:

Warren is eight tracks of mesmerising psych-folk hypnotica laced with BRG’s masterful acoustic string-plucking. Its lush, slow-burning soundscapes bewitch like musical incense and immediately whisk you away some place enchanted. Mind you don’t lose yourself there.
