Melbourne duo GraceJean are on the cusp of releasing their debut album, and to give fans a taste they’ve delivered us a stunning tease of what to expect with ‘Turn Away’.
It’s a gorgeous track with both members giving lush and extravagant harmonies over a Mumford & Sons-style melody, but it’s still an absolute party.
Of the song, GraceJean said the song is about exploring just how far romantic intimacy can go, and just how much it can make us feel.
“Our show-opening, raucous invitation to audiences to join us on the musical journey that is our live show, ‘Turn Away’ is our way of exploring the intensity and relentless energy of romantic intimacy and the heat of proximity,” they said in a statement.
‘Turn Away’ is taken from the group’s upcoming debut album Long Black Road, and they’ll be touring that album once it is released next month. Check out all those dates, and listen to ‘Turn Away’, below.
