It’s been almost five years since Tom Iansek’s side project #1 Dads released the stellar About Face, but now the Big Scary/No Mono genius has announced the project’s return with new single ‘Another Day’.
According to Iansek in a statement, ‘Another Day’ is “like a little ray of light in a dark place”.
He’s also dropped a video to coincide with the song’s release. The film clip was actually directed, produced and written by Iansek, and he also helmed all the lighting, styling, filming, choreography, acting and everything else. He is basically super Dad.
“It’s a bit of an anti-videoclip videoclip,” Iansek said.
“I wanted to see how far I could go with as little as possible. The music-making process followed this ethos in a way too, perhaps it is an extension of that.”
#1 Dads is also performing an intimate comeback show before he takes on Falls Festival.
