The 2017 Riot Fest Lineup Is Here To Break Your Poor Australian Heart

The just-dropped lineup for Chicago’s Riot Fest 2017 just might live up to its name. That is, if it causes Aussie fans to riot based purely on the emotional trauma of missing out on tickets.

This year’s blockbuster bash is packing the kind of lineup that will either inspire you to either weep with FOMO or else empty your bank accounts and book a trip to the US STAT.

We’re talking Nine Inch Nails, Paramore, New Order, Prophets of Rage, M.I.A., Wu-Tang Clan, A Day To Remember, Taking Back Sunday, Vic Mensa, TV on the Radio, Ministry, Dinosaur Jr., New Found Glory, FIDLAR, Action Bronson, Pennywise and riot-loads more.

Hectically, punk pioneers Jawbreaker are also reuniting to headline the three-day fest alongside Queens Of The Stone Age (after they graciously come to Australia to headline Splendour In The Grass this July).

Aussie reps The Smith Street Band have also been given a guernsey on the first wave lineup announcement, which will come as a welcome consolation to those still spewing that the festival’s epic AF April Fools Day lineup — which pretty much featured every great fictional movie & TV band ever — wasn’t real.

Another 25+ acts are set to be announced on the bill next month, but you can cop a squiz at the epic first 70 below.
