Canadian DJ and Producer Joel Zimmerman aka. Deadmau5 has had the date 2nd of January 2012 officially proclaimed Deadmau5 Day in Nevada Las Vegas.
Mayor Carolyn Goodman bestowed it upon him in honour of his year long residence at the Wyn Las Vegas hotel clubs XS and Encore.
Deadmau5 posted a photo of the certificate, along with a message saying
“Yes, this just happened. Gotta love Nevada!
The day asks that “all citizens to acknowledge that Deadmau5 has taken electronic music to the next level, and his sets are always unique as he assembles tracks on the fly, using cutting edge computer technology, including software he’s helped write himself.”
