The 90s Resurgence Reaches Peak As Brandy Announces First Ever Australian Tour

That’s right kiddies, your favourite 90s r’n’b/sitcom star Brandy is heading to our fair shores for the first time ever in June and she’s bringing a live band. Unfortunately Monica can’t make it though.

The genius behind such hits as The Boy Is Mine, I Wanna Be Down and Top Of The World, not the mention the fresh faced star of Moesha (to those of you who missed this show you just don’t know) it seems ludicrous that Brandy hasn’t toured here before. Better late than never though, and let’s face it, most of us have barely matured since the late 90s anyway.

Releasing her self titled debut in 1994 when she was just 15, Brandy has continued releasing and recording music ever since. Her later albums like Never Say Never, Afrodisiac, and most recently Two Eleven have seen her work with everyone from Frank Ocean to Bruno Mars and Kanye West.

Meanwhile she’s been starring in the Broadway production of Chicago, as well as stretching her acting muscles in shows like Zoe Ever After.

Essentially – this ain’t no standard throwback tour and Brandy ain’t no washed up cultural relic.

With a pre-sale on offer from Tuesday 3rd May at 8am, general tickets go on sale at 8am Thursday 5th May with full tour details below.

In the meantime why don’t we relive a little of that late 90s glory with her classic hit I Wanna Be Down.
