After The Fall Return With New Album ‘Bittersweet’ And Tour Dates

After the Fall, one of the most successful bands to emerge from the Central Coast of NSW, have announced their return to the music scene. Ruling the airwaves throughout the mid-00s, After the Fall return from a deep, deep sleep with a new album in hands, and a run of tour dates.

Despite their massive success in Australia, which saw the lads touring vigorously all over the land, their super radio-friendly 2009 album [In] Exile marked the last we would hear from the band, until now that is. Having spent the last three years or so reflecting on the brand that is After the Fall and putting hard-earned lessons to the test, they have emerged with Bittersweet, the fourth album.

Bittersweet saw the lads take the DIY road, recording the majority of the release in a house that guitarist Mark Warner was house-sitting. The free plumbing and electricity wasn’t the only benefit of that, it also gave the band a chance to take things at their own pace. The date has since been set – November 23 – for the official unveiling of what will surely be the album of their career.

Following the release, the band will be hitting the road, bringing with them their new tunes as well as all the crowd favourites such as The Fighter and Concrete Boots. We’ve also got the first single from the album, which you can check out below.
