With Hottest 100 voting now open and early predictions coming in, triple j has hit up a bunch of its favourite local acts to see which tracks they’re voting for in this year’s countdown.

Aussie metalcore heroes The Amity Affliction have sung the praises of Architects’ song ‘Hereafter’, the first single from their first album since the death of founding member Tom Searle.

“We know Tom Searle would be proud,” the band told triple j. “Absolute banger.”

Brother-sister duo Angus & Julia Stone voted for Mallrat’s ‘Groceries’, with Julia telling triple j, “I’ve always thought that going to the supermarket to get your groceries when you’re falling in love really quantifies what love is about… that you can do something so mundane with somebody, and it feels like the most exciting thing in the world.”

Meanwhile, producer Golden Features voted for ‘Wasted’ by his former housemates Peking Duk.

“I can’t explain what it is that sets them apart but all I can say is they’re gifted,” he said. “‘Wasted’ is undeniable, love to them both.”
