Axl Rose Left Seeing Red After Photography Exhibition In His Honour

When news broke that an LA Photographer would be unveiling an exhibit based solely around her experiences as Axl Rose’s one-time next door neighbour, it was pretty obvious it would rub Rose the wrong way. So it comes as no real shock to hear that Rose has threatened legal action, crying defamation.

Rose has stated that the photos and subsequent captions/descriptions are nothing but “outrageous, false, fabricated and highly defamatory” remarks on behalf of photographer Laura London. Titled Once Upon a Time … Axl Rose Was My Neighbour, the image that has apparently caused the most fuss is one of self-inflicted graffiti on the rock star’s garage door.

According to Triple M, London snapped the image back in the day when Rose’s relationship with then girlfriend Erin Everly turned sour. The pic was taken back in the days of Appetite for Destruction and, of course, Rose and his camp are vigorously denying its authenticity.

“Mr. Rose never spray-painted anything. Your salacious and inflammatory statements are plainly designed to garner attention and line your pockets with money,” his legal team have commented.

It seems like a pretty Axl Rose thing to do…both to tag your own garage door in a fit of heartbroken rage and to deny it years and years later. You can check out the full display over at London’s website.
