BAD//DREEMS Team Up With Midnight Oil’s Peter Garrett To Cover ‘Blackfella/Whitefella’ For Like A Version

BAD//DREEMS took the Like a Version reigns on triple j this week and wow, what a special one. They took along Emily Wurramara, Don and Brad from Mambali, along with Midnight Oil’s frontman and former pollie, Peter Garrett to help out with vocals.

They covered Warumpi Band’s ‘Blackfella/Whitefella’, an Australian anthem for equality and reconcilliation from 1985.

The track’s been covered by a few notable Aussie artists: Missy Higgins, Powderfinger, and Jimmy Little.

BAD//DREEMS also gave us a rendition of their own track ‘Sonny’, a single from their third studio album, Doomsday Ballet, released just last month.

BAD//DREEMS just wrapped up their national ‘Doomsday Ballet’ tour in their hometown of Adelaide.

Have a listen to both their ‘Blackfella/Whitefella’ cover and their original down below.
