Bernard Fanning, Sarah Blasko & Bob Evans To Play A Day On The Green

Former Powderfinger frontman Bernard Fanning will be headlining his own A Day On The Green tour this October and November, with Aussie songstress Sarah Blasko and quirky popster Bob Evans joining him as special guests.

This will be the first touring A Day On The Green event for the 2013-2014 period, although a one-off Fleetwood Mac show has previously been announced for Geelong on 30th November.

Fanning released his second solo album Departures earlier in the year, his first since Powderfinger disbanded, with the album going straight to the top of the ARIA charts. The 43-year-old is excited to get his winery on, saying, “I’m really looking forward to these A Day On The Green shows. I have been hearing about them for years and am glad to be playing my new songs in such a dignified setting. And I’m looking forward to a couple of vinos with Bob Evans and Sarah Blasko.”

Blasko’s had a similarly successful year, following the release of her fourth studio album I Awake, while Bob Evans also dropped album number 4 this year, Famous Stranger. Evans, the alter-ego of Jebediah frontman Kevin Mitchell, will be appearing at all shows except that of his hometown, Perth.

Tickets are on sale Monday, 8th July.
