Billie Eilish Pays Tribute To Taylor Hawkins During 2022 Grammys Performance

Billie Eilish performed the title track from her second album Happier Than Ever at the 2022 Grammys, which took place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Eilish paid tribute to Taylor Hawkins during the performance, wearing a shirt featuring a photo of the late Foo Fighters drummer, who died last month. The band, who were scheduled to perform at the ceremony but cancelled following Hawkins’ death, won all three awards they were nominated for Best Rock Performance (for ‘Making a Fire’), Best Rock Song (for ‘Waiting on a War’) and Best Rock Album (for Medicine at Midnight.)

Eilish’s performance began with her in an upside-down living room, with her walking through water. She then stepped up onto the roof of the set, joining her brother and collaborator Finneas along with other backing band members. As the performance drew to a close, artificial rain poured down, dousing Eilish and her bandmates for its dramatic conclusion.

Billie Eilish was nominated for seven awards at this year’s Grammys, including Album of the Year for Happier Than Ever and Record of the Year and Song of the Year for its title track.
