The hip-hop group decided to ditch the original video following the tragic event and instead make it a moving celebration of his life including interviews with Ofner’s friends and family. It finishes with Ofner’s daughter farewelling her father in front of the camera.
It also uses footage from their tribute show at Coolangatta Hotel earlier this month. The group and their fans managed to raise $40,000 for Johann’s daughter with a further $24,000 also raised through a crowdfunding campaign.
“It was incredibly special to share the night with Johann’s friends and family, it will have an important place in our hearts and minds forever,” Bliss N Eso wrote on their Facebook alongside the video.
They are still raising money for Ofner’s family by selling special tribute t-shirts online which you can find here.
