Bloc Party are back with a vengeance. Hot on the heels of their recently announced Australian tour, which will see them grace stages at the New Years’ Falls and Southbound Festivals as well as play a handful of their own headlining sideshows, the British indie rockers have just unveiled the details of their fifth studio LP.
Entitled Hymns, the new disc is expected to drop some time next year, and frontman Kele Okereke has described the Four follow-up (via Consequence Of Sound) as “a very logical evolution of where we’ve been”.
Previously, he’d also promised that it will sound “like nothing that we’ve done before”.
Hymns also marks the band’s first album with their new lineup, which they premiered back in August during their first live show in over two years.
The performance saw the band showcase two brand new songs as well: Exes and Edon, both of which will feature on the new disc, alongside the first officially-released LP cut, entitled The Love Within.
