Unfortunately, Australians are going to have to wait a little longer to bask in the sonic glory of Bob Mould. The mastermind behind NME’s 1991 Album of the Year, Copper Blue, has cancelled all Aussie tour dates.
Update 24/10/2012: Bob Mould Australian tour is back on!
Re-released this year to celebrate the 20th anniversary since the release, Copper Blue was accompanied with an EP of B-sides and a stack of extra features. The result of which was Sugar fans all over the world requesting, nay, demanding a nostalgic live performance.
But our joy was short-lived. Today, the day tickets were meant to go for sale, word came through that the tour will not be happening. Touring company Metropolis spoke to FL stating that no specific reason has been provided for the cancellation, though it’s 100% not happening.
