Australian acts have peppered many of the international festival lineup announcements over the last few weeks and the trend continues with the Boston Calling 2015 lineup which features the likes of Tame Impala, Vance Joy, Chet Faker and DMA’s.
The Boston lineup marks the third US festival that Newtown’s DMA’s have been added to in the last couple of weeks. They’ll also be playing Bonnaroo and SXSW 2015. Meanwhile, Tame Impala, Vance Joy, Chet Faker will all also be playing this year’s Coachella Valley Music And Arts Festival.
Beck will headline the festival, whose lineup was partially curated by The National’s Aaron Dessner. Also on the lineup are The Pixies, rock-comedy duo Tenacious D, My Morning Jacket, Ben Harper with the Innocent Criminals, Run The Jewels, Jungle, TV On The Radio and more.
Similar to Bonnaroo’s novel lineup announcement, the 2015 Boston Calling lineup was revealed after a “Find the Vinyl” scavenger hunt took place across the city, sending punters around town to hunt down 11 vinyl records that were sketched with the name of one of the 23 artists on the bill.
The first of the two annual Boston Calling festivals will take place on May 23rd-25th this year at City Hall Plaza in downtown Boston. For those planing on making the trip over, General admission and VIP passes to the May Boston Calling festival go on sale Wednesday, January 14th through the festival’s website. See the lineup below.
