Boyz II Men Are Bringing Salt-N-Pepa To Australia For A Giant ’90s R&B Throwback

If your playlist once bounced between End Of The Road, Shoop and Poison, clear your calendar.

’90s R&B royalty Boyz II Men are heading back to Australia this summer, bringing two fellow icons along for the ride in what shapes as one of the year’s biggest nostalgia tours.

Boyz II Men – ‘End Of The Road’

Joining the best-selling R&B group of all time are rap trailblazers Salt-N-Pepa and new jack swing pioneers Bell Biv DeVoe, who’ll make their long-awaited Australian debut as part of the stacked triple bill.

The tour will hit Perth, Sydney, Geelong, the Hunter Valley and Mount Cotton across November and December, promising a night packed wall-to-wall with some of the biggest songs of the ’90s.

For Boyz II Men, it’s another return to Aussie stages armed with the catalogue that helped define an era. Across more than three decades, Nathan Morris, Wanya Morris and Shawn Stockman have sold over 64 million albums worldwide, collecting four Grammy Awards and countless chart records along the way.

Among those classics is End Of The Road, which famously spent 13 weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100, while I’ll Make Love To You, On Bended Knee, Motownphilly and their Mariah Carey collaboration One Sweet Day remain staples of R&B history.

Joining them are hip hop legends Salt-N-Pepa, whose influence stretches far beyond their string of era-defining hits. As the first female rap act inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Cheryl “Salt” James, Sandra “Pepa” Denton and DJ Spinderella helped rewrite the rules for women in hip hop with anthems including Push It, Shoop, Let’s Talk About Sex and Whatta Man.

Rounding out the lineup are Bell Biv DeVoe, making their first-ever Australian appearance. Formed by Ricky Bell, Michael Bivins and Ronnie DeVoe following the success of New Edition, the trio helped pioneer the new jack swing movement, blending R&B, hip hop and pop into a sound that dominated the early ’90s with hits including Poison, Do Me! and B.B.D. (I Thought It Was Me)?

Whether you remember wearing out the CDs or discovered these tracks through TikTok and streaming playlists decades later, this is about as stacked a celebration of ’90s R&B and hip hop as you’re likely to see on Australian shores.
